This is an old character of mine that I recently revisited. Her name is Adendi (her [male] cat is nameless) and she has piles of blue-green hair. She doesn't have any magical properties or anything special about her at all. The things on her face are either tattoos or a birthmark, I'm not sure.
This was a commission for my mom's boss's son. I really like the fanciful feel to this, it's one of my favorite pieces. The palette is pretty nice, I feel, as well.
This started out with just the two people in the drawing as a style experiment. Then I decided I wanted to do a crazy background full of random surreal stuff and color, so here you go. I don't have a lot to say about this except it's one of my favorites.
This is the other (well the Sad Fish is the other one technically) drawing of the two fish story idea. The Sun Fish swims across the skies bringing light and celebration to the world where the Moon Fish brings night time and with it a somber, relaxed feeling.
This is a cutesy illustration for the front of a birthday card I gave to my brother on his 18th birthday. There's a photo of us sitting on a hill eating watermelon that he just loves and swears that he can remember, so I thought that it would be a good sentimental gift for him.
This is a drawing based on a photograph of a dear family friend and myself when I was a baby. Our families were able to get together again after 16 years of being apart, so I wanted to give something to Pat that would mean a lot to him. This is personally one of my favorite portraits (except for the hat).
This is the second illustration of two that I did with fish flying through the sky. I've been thinking about doing a story (probably children's book-esque) with the two of them. The basic story is that the two fish chase each other across the sky and can only see each other for a brief moment. Anyway. The other is obviously a sun fish. I really liked the whole concept of both of them, but this one seems to attract more attention.
This is a portrait I did of myself based on a photograph without any color filters/ I've done several drawings for many people, so I thought that it was about time I did one of myself. There are a few issues like how long my face is because I'm not too good at drawing angles or perspective. However, this is still one of my favorite pieces.
This was just one of a few quick pieces that I completed one day. This is supposed to be a younger version of a magician guy in a story my friend and I were working on.
So, like I mentioned before, I really enjoy drawing my boyfriend's sister and her husband. Sierra is just a wonderful little woman with the face of an adorable Disney princess, so I drew her doing something cute for Christmas. I'm sure this is how everyone sees this bubbly young woman, and I'm happy with the result.
This is an illustration of my boyfriend's sister and brother-in-law, Sierra and Zach. I tend to draw them a lot because they're such a cute couple.
This is an old drawing done partially with chalk (on the snowy ground parts) that is pretty old. This was done when I was more into an anime style, so you won't see many more girls drawn like this. The reason I uploaded this is strictly because of the tree. I love that thing. Anyway, the tree is supposed to be a person with an enchantment or something on him, and the girl can sense that. So something along the lines of only love can break the spell.
This is just a girl that I drew with a wagon full of vegetables. I don't particularly like the line art on this one, but I think it's still fanciful and full of happiness. Those trees like the one in the back are becoming a trademark of mine, I've noticed.
This was just a commission for my boyfriend's brother-in-law of him and his wife, Sierra. They are probably my favorite pair to draw because both of them are so animated. There's a lot that I don't like about this- mostly the bike and how flat the front tire looks. Also, the blues in the scan came out poorly.
32 hours of work. D= My boyfriend's brother-in-law asked me to do some album art for his CD representing the change of seasons and the movement of time. So, here ya go.
This is the second and probably final piece of art for my boyfriend's brother-in-law's album art requests. This is a pretty different style for me, but I really like it. The bird has really fine and intricate pen detail on it's whole body for ALL of the feathers, but I couldn't leave well enough alone and I colored over it with a really dark marker ink! >.< (Okay, I blended the color down and redid the lines on the bird)
This is just a cutesy drawing of my OC's Per and Adendi.
This is uncolored right now, but I thought that I'd put it up here to get me more motivated. This is Adendi, Per and Ant in a fight against the shadowy bad guys that plague them.
So basically... I really like My Little Pony. But I DON'T like how my multiliners smudged with my markers. ;_;
